A Bit About Me

Dr. Anton earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology from Seton Hall University. It was here where she first learned about cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) treatment for a broad range of anxiety disorders and depression. Across her graduate training experiences, Dr. Anton gained extensive experience in providing CBT. She has provided CBT across inpatient and outpatient individual and group settings in the treatment of the obsessive-compulsive spectrum, anxiety, mood disorders, psychosis, insomnia, post-traumatic stress, and personality disorders. Although she specializes in CBT, including the use of ERP, she also incorporates her training in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT).

Dr. Anton completed externship/internship training experiences at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, St. Barnabas Hospital, Rockland Psychiatric Center, Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center, Hackensack Hospital, City College of New York, and New York-Presbyterian Columbia University Irving Medical Center.

I consider myself a holistic therapist, meaning that while I integrate the person’s body and mind into the work, I consider spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional forms of well-being in treatment. My goal is to help individuals develop a deeper understanding of themselves on all these levels.

Dr. Anton is licensed in NJ and NY as a psychologist
